It looks like you are doing a similar study to mine (I am looking at high school students). We might be able to talk to one another and help each other along the way to fill in gaps, compare findings, and offer support (when we are ready to pull our hair out). I agree we have to find what motivates these kiddos so they can learn to succeed in this world of testing! Good luck!
ReplyDeleteI noticed we were doing a similar study. I tried to comment on yours earlier but my Internet didn't wanna cooperate and I haven't made it back yet but I will. I'd love to share and compare later on when we get in the thick of it.
DeleteYou are definitely doing a great job with finding data, sharing with stakeholders and taking time to reflect. Looks like you will be busy analyzing all of the various forms of data but it will all paint the picture of what needs to be done to directly assess the needs of student from a low socio-economic background.
ReplyDeleteYeah I might need to slow down on some of that data or I might drown. Thanks!
DeleteI like that you are collaborating so much with the 3-5 teachers as you gather your information and that your data-gathering includes interviewing students. It's very comprehensive.
ReplyDeleteI like your research topic. This is a very important thing to research in our schools today, whether it be elementary/intermediate, or high school. You seem to have a good plan there, a lot better than mine I think!!! Anyway, good luck with the research!!! Look forward to seeing the results!!
